Lën is the Ladin word for wood, and in this apartment, you’ll be living, eating, and unwinding in the old farmers’ parlour, where the family once worked on their wood carvings. We had the wood-panelled parlour removed and restored before rebuilding, and it now forms the cosy centrepiece of the apartment! By the way: This apartment has level access from the car park, and the interior is also step-free.

Pan means bread in Ladin: Outside, next to the apartment, there’s an ancient but still functional bread oven. In the past, the neighbourhood would gather here to bake the traditional, fragrant bread for themselves and their families. This was then dried in special wall racks to preserve it. Our holiday apartments in Selva are a real find if you’re into hiking, biking, skiing, ski touring, cross-country skiing … or to put it another way: if you want to experience the Dolomites. Our farm is at the upper end of the Daunëi area of Selva, and the meadows, woods, and hiking trails start right outside our door. An added bonus: the stunning view over the rooftops of Selva. And if you’re interested, you can also get exclusive insights into the daily work on a mountain farm.
  • On foot, by bike, or on touring skis: Hiking trail no. 26 leads right past our door. Simply step outside and set off for Juac hut, Regensburger hut, Mt Stevia, Col Raiser, Mt Seceda, the Puez Group, and into Vallunga/Langental!
  • To the slopes: The ski bus stops just a few steps away and takes you straight to the Val Gardena-Alpe di Siusi/Gröden-Seiser Alm ski area and Sellaronda!
  • By bus: The village bus departs from the corner of the street and brings you into the centre of Selva all year round. From there, you can also take public buses up to the Gardena pass, Sella pass, and out of the valley.

Your mountain farm holiday
How much water does each of our 12 cows drink per day, and what time do our Daunëi hens like to lay their eggs? We’ll gladly tell you all that and more. But you won’t find a classic farm holiday with haystack jumping or a petting zoo here. Instead, we’re respectfully continuing the challenging mountain agriculture that has been the livelihood of Daunëihof since its very beginning. It was one of the first places to be settled in Val Gardena/Gröden. The historic cellar, which we were able to preserve when rebuilding, stands testament to the long history of the farm: centuries-old wooden beams, medieval stone walls, a huge arched doorway – an atmospheric place for you to relax in whenever you’d like.

Your apartment will be ready for you from 3 p.m. If you’ll be arriving after 8 p.m., please call us in advance.

Departure

We kindly ask you to vacate the apartment by 9 a.m. on your departure day.

Deposit

The total amount of the booking is used to calculate a deposit, which you will find in your holiday offer. The booking is confirmed once we have received your deposit and sent you written confirmation.

Cancellation

It’s always a shame when a holiday can’t go ahead as planned. If you do need to cancel, the following conditions apply:

  • Cancellation at the latest 60 days before the arrival date: We retain your deposit.
  • Cancellation at the latest 30 days before the arrival date: 50% of the agreed total rate is charged.
  • Cancellation at the latest 14 days before the arrival date: 70% of the agreed total rate is charged.
  • Cancellation less than 14 days before the arrival date: We unfortunately have to charge 100% of the agreed total rate.
  • In the case of late arrival and/or early departure, we still charge for all booked days.

Rates are in euros and apply for the specified apartment per week. For stays of less than seven nights, we will be happy to prepare a tailor-made offer for you, which may include a short-stay supplement.

Tourist tax

The tourist tax amounts to €2.10 per night for each person aged 14 and over. It is not included in the provided rate.

Here’s how to reach us
There are good long-distance bus and train connections to Klausen (Chiusa). Feel free to get in touch with us if you’d like to travel by public transport.

Here’s how to reach us by car:
  • Take the A22 Brenner motorway to the Chiusa-Val Gardena/Klausen-Gröden exit.
  • Go straight ahead towards Val Gardena/Gröden at the roundabout, then follow the road until you reach Selva.
  • Turn left shortly after entering Selva, directly after Hotel Alpenroyal, and then immediately right (follow the signs towards Daunëi).
  • After 500 metres, at the crossroads, turn left towards Daunëi.
  • Turn left again after Hotel Daniel.
  • Continue for 100 metres until you reach Daunëihof (turn in on the left-hand side).


A parking space is reserved for your car here. In winter, winter tyres and snow chains are a must.
